Bloom :: The Blog of Mustard Seed Fair Trade

In case you hadn’t figured it out yet, we pretty much have the best volunteers in all of Columbia!  Lovely volunteers and interns, we would truly not be able to do this without you! You are spectacular supporting actors for the stars of the show – artisans from around the world of course!

Once in a while, a group of MU service learning students take a fancy to our mission and join our unstoppable force of volunteers as well!  They are, shall we say,  the stage hands in our fair trade production.  Seldom seen, but always working.  Identifying our target market, designing event signage, improving our volunteer program, and developing effective marketing strategies.

Motivated and focused, they fit in quite well with our Mustard Seed ‘family.’

So, dear customer and beloved fan of Mustard Seed, next time you stop by the store or join us at an off-site event, be sure to thank the friendly volunteer, intern, or service learning student who is running the show.  It is because of their selfless commitment to our mission that we have such wonderful products to bring your way!
